For Friday February 17,Due to high water across the county Raleigh County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay.

This is a kind reminder that WWHS will not accept outside deliveries tomorrow, February 14th. While we wish you and yours the happiest of Valentine's Days ❤️, we are not equipped to accept deliveries. Thank you in advance!

🦅 Congratulations are in order! Congratulations to the Math Field Day winners representing WWHS. WWHS took 1st and 2nd place in the 9th grade division. As it pertains to grades 10-12, WWHS took home 1st and 2nd place in the county, along with 7 placers in the top 10. Please also help us in congratulating our Cheerleading, volleyball and football teams as they continue their run into postseason play. Our regional champion Cheer and volleyball teams will be competing in their respective state tournaments, while the football team will be traveling to take on Huntington High School in the 1st round of the AAA playoffs. Congratulations to all! Go Flying Eagles! 🦅

Free afterschool tutoring Raleigh County Schools is happy to announce opportunities for students across the county to receive free afterschool tutoring. These services are made possible through Extended Program grants and provided by your child’s home school certified teachers. Tutoring services may include… · In person one-on-one or small group - core content academic sessions · In person one-on-one or small group - critical school success tutoring sessions for items such as (organization skills, technology skills, study skills, test taking tips, etc.) · In person one-on-one or small group - enrichment support (high stakes test prep SAT, ACT, etc., academic fairs, college/job readiness preparation, etc.) Please contact your child’s school for details on scheduling tutoring services. Not all schools offer after school services or services in all areas.

Today driver’s education students will participate in the DUI Simulator. Special thanks to Sgt. J. Wall, Beckley Police Department and Dan Pickens with the West Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control Administration for providing this opportunity for our students.
