Another reminder that all student chromebooks & chargers should have already been collected at WWHS. Please note any student that has failed to return the chromebook & charger will be issued an invoice in the amount of $405 for the chromebook and $37 for the charger.
🚨Any student who has not turned in their chromebook & charger must to do so as soon as possible. Students who do not return their equipment will be issued an invoice for the replacement device and or charger. Please return this equipment to the Registrar Mrs. Helmondollar in the main office. 🚨

📌Yearbook Information 📌
Yearbook online sales have ended, but 2023 yearbooks may still be purchased in room D10 during 2, 3, 4th periods while supplies last. The price is still $55 but will increase to $65 May 20th. Order pickup begins May 15; books will be distributed outside of the cafeteria during lunch.

Camp STEM is southern West Virginia’s premiere camp for high school students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math fields. The week-long camp is held on WVU Tech’s Beckley, WV campus, and features a variety of STEM classes, special projects, and meetings with industry leaders. During Camp STEM, you’ll meet professors who are experts in their fields and college students studying the STEM fields that interest you. You’ll attend classes, conduct experiments and learn about the exciting careers waiting for men and women in STEM fields.

🦅 Congratulations are in order! Congratulations to the Math Field Day winners representing WWHS. WWHS took 1st and 2nd place in the 9th grade division. As it pertains to grades 10-12, WWHS took home 1st and 2nd place in the county, along with 7 placers in the top 10.
Please also help us in congratulating our Cheerleading, volleyball and football teams as they continue their run into postseason play. Our regional champion Cheer and volleyball teams will be competing in their respective state tournaments, while the football team will be traveling to take on Huntington High School in the 1st round of the AAA playoffs. Congratulations to all! Go Flying Eagles! 🦅

Free afterschool tutoring
Raleigh County Schools is happy to announce opportunities for students across the county to receive free afterschool tutoring. These services are made possible through Extended Program grants and provided by your child’s home school certified teachers.
Tutoring services may include…
· In person one-on-one or small group - core content academic sessions
· In person one-on-one or small group - critical school success tutoring sessions for items such as (organization skills, technology skills, study skills, test taking tips, etc.)
· In person one-on-one or small group - enrichment support (high stakes test prep SAT, ACT, etc., academic fairs, college/job readiness preparation, etc.)
Please contact your child’s school for details on scheduling tutoring services.
Not all schools offer after school services or services in all areas.
