🎉 A Big Shoutout to Woodrow Wilson High School! 🎉 During the month of November, the student council, led by Mrs. Pam Shrader, hosted a record-breaking food drive! The student body worked together as four grade levels competed to bring in the most items. Collectively, the school donated over 9,400 food items to the Salvation Army in Beckley! 🥫💪 This generous donation supports the community and broke last year’s school record—what an incredible achievement! Special recognition goes to the senior class, who donated more than half of the collected items. Their efforts earned them the honor of pieing their principal, Mr. Stafford, in the face! 🥧😂 We are so proud of Woodrow Wilson High School for leading with generosity and making a real impact in our community. Today the WWHS FLYING EAGLE BAND will be hosting their Soaring Sounds Band Competition. Gates open at 3:00 and competition starts at 4:00. They have 13 bands competing and their band in exhibition. It's a fun filled day of music and competition, concessions with the BIG GRILL, pickles from the Pickle Guy, T-shirts and buttons made on the spot, and gorgeous baskets to raffle off! The baskets have themes of WVU, MARSHALL, Movie Night, Game Night and much more! (Pics are included in this post)(need to be present to win) Entry fee is only $10 per person. All proceeds go towards the band's Pop Tart Bowl Trip in December! Come out and enjoy the weather and music, and support the band in the process! 🦅🦅🦅 Hope to see you there!
