Applications are due by 1/20/26 to be considered for an interview and a spot in a program at ACT next year. One-year programs are available to upcoming Seniors, Class of 2027. Two-year and one-year programs are available for upcoming Juniors, Class of 2028. Keep in mind that graduation requirements, missing credits, grades, attendance and behavior all help determine student eligibility. There will also be mandatory interviews held in February. If you have any questions, please message your assigned School Counselor for additional information.

Flying Eagle families: Raleigh County Schools will operate on a two hour delay Friday, January 16, 2026. The semester has been extended. Even class period exams, as well as any and all makeups, will take place Tuesday Jan 20th. The new semester will begin the 21st. Thank you and stay warm!

WWHS students, Please note that RCS has called a "remote learning day" for today, Thursday Jan 15. Please note that exams in 2nd, 4th and 6th periods will now take place tomorrow, Friday the 16th. Students in need of taking a make-up exam (if you were absent for your scheduled exam yesterday) will also take place tomorrow, Friday the 16th. Your remote learning assignment is to continue to prepare for any exam you are scheduled to take (as applicable). Stay warm 🦅 ⛄️!

We are incredibly proud of the dedication and commitment shown by all administrators, staff, and students who worked hard to earn this honor.
RCS will continue partnering with schools as we strive for 100% PBIS Bronze status across the district by the end of the 2025–2026 school year.
This year, we are also excited to begin rolling out Tier 2 PBIS practices as we move toward Silver status.
