From Bradley Prosperity Volunteer Fire Department: BPVFD wants to again highlight and congratulate our Junior Members Elizabeth Holcomb, Daylan McClelland, Jesus Soler, as well as a special shoutout to Dakotah Athey from Coal River VFD for being inducted into the National Technical Honor Society! Under the direction of Chad Cox at the Academy of Careers and Technology, Elizabeth, Daylan, Jesus, and Dakotah have worked through fire fighter and EMT skills trainings, learning both the academic knowledge and applying that into practical skills. Chief David Wriston stated “ACT has had a reputation for developing highly skilled and talented young members for both the Fire and EMS fields, and that is in no small part thanks to the effort of Chief Cox and the commitment both he and the school have made in these kids.” BPVFD Deputy Chief Sierra Lawson offered additional comments, saying that “This is a tremendous honor for them and truly highlights the work they have put into bettering themselves while building up the knowledge and skills bank to serve their communities. They exemplify a shining beacon for the next generation, and we could not be more proud of them.”
