Raleigh County Schools has new and efficient way for parents and guardians to submit excuses for student absences! This form can be found on the Raleigh County Schools website or at the following link: https://app.droplet.io/form/08vMdN
You may still turn in excuses the traditional way of sending them to the office with your student, but we hope this will streamline the process! If you have any questions, please contact the office at GES.

Just a reminder that Grand Pals Day and the Book Fair DO NOT start tomorrow! As soon as we have a new date, we will send out that information. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Due to weather, Scholastic has shut down for the week and will not be delivering our Book Fair until next week. With that said, we have to postpone not only the Book Fair but Grand Pals day as well. We will update you as soon as possible! Again, Grand Pals Day and the Book Fair are postponed.

DON'T FORGET: Since we were off school today, tomorrow is the last day to turn in Grand Pals forms!

There will be NO ice cream sales tomorrow (2/14). Sales will resume next week!
Don't forget your Grand Pals forms are due Monday, February 17!

Ghent Elementary will be celebrating the 100th Day of School (hopefully) tomorrow! We also hope everyone is staying warm, and we will see you soon!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to GES February 24-28! We will also be having a Grand Pals Day on February 24. More information will be coming home about each event. Today, a flyer and sign-up sheet for Grand Pals Day should be coming home; however, there is an incorrect date on the flyer! Sign-Up sheets are due FEBRUARY 17!

Bus 233 cannot do Doc Miller or Daisy Trail. Students on those runs need to be picked up at school.

We will be dismissing at 12:20 this afternoon. With that said, please be patient with the dismissal process as snow banks are still making parent pick up difficult. Thank you and have a great weekend!

Parents, please remember that our parking lot/parent pick up area is much smaller due to the plowed snow. Please do not block our entrance or traffic on the main road. If you cannot enter our parking lot without blocking anything, please come back a few minutes later and try again. Thank you for your patience!

Due to technical difficulties, teachers did not receive report cards until late this afternoon. Because of this, some students might not receive their report cards today. All report cards for grades 1-5 will be coming home today or tomorrow. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher.

DON'T FORGET! PTO is finally meeting today at 6pm at GES. We would love to see you there!

Good morning! Welcome back AGAIN! Please remember to bring Day 4 of your Reimagine packet.
For lunch today: Sloppy joes, onion rings, broccoli w/ Parmesan, coleslaw, peach crisp, assorted fruits
See you soon!

Let's try again! The PTO meeting is now scheduled for Monday, January 27 at 6pm! With February creeping around the corner, we have so much to plan, and we would love your input! See you there!

The PTO meeting that was scheduled for 1/7 has been rescheduled for January 21, 2025 at 6pm! See you there!

Good morning! We're excited to have our students back today! Doors open at 10:10. Please remember to bring Day 3 of the Reimagine Packet with you today.
This afternoon, snow is piled very high in the parking lot. Our already small parent pick up section is even smaller. It's very important that you do not enter the parking lot if there is no room for you to be completely off the main drive. There will not be room for buses to maneuver around cars. If you cannot enter at the time of your arrival, please try again a few minutes later.

Don't forget to join us for the PTO meeting on Tuesday at 6pm! We want your input and ideas to make the spring semester one to remember for our kiddos!
